About TLDSweep

TLDSweep solves a small but annoying problem: you have a name you like and want to know which extensions are still free, but registrar sites only check the TLDs they sell. Here you scan them all at once.

Lookups run in three layers: a fast DNS verdict, the registry's RDAP endpoint, then WHOIS as a fallback. The TLD list and metadata come from the IANA root zone, the IANA RDAP bootstrap, ICANN's registry agreements and whois.iana.org, synced daily.

Results are indicative. A few ccTLDs have no public lookup service and some WHOIS servers rate-limit aggressively; those cases are labelled unknown rather than guessed. The registrar's checkout page is the final word.
